The American Dream
In the land of the free
Immigrants are wrapped in a blanket of fears
Hiding behind the curtains of tears
In silence and misery, the pain they bear
A heavy shadow in the cold, unmoving air
No words are spoken, though the sorrow runs deep
Like a quiet harvest that the broken hearted reap
They’ve left their torn apart country for a dream
The American Dream
But the dream turned into nightmares
Now they’re dreaming of white mares
Drinking from the lake of tears
Immigrants are wrapped in a blanket of fears
Hiding behind the curtains of tears
In silence and misery, the pain they bear
A heavy shadow in the cold, unmoving air
No words are spoken, though the sorrow runs deep
Like a quiet harvest that the broken hearted reap
They’ve left their torn apart country for a dream
The American Dream
But the dream turned into nightmares
Now they’re dreaming of white mares
Drinking from the lake of tears
Key Words : Speak your mind, feel free to express yourself, fear is the only enemy
