The Awesome Opossum
Say what you will,Think what you might.
The awesome opossum
Is a wondrous sight.
Long-tailed and bright-eyed,
Descended from ancient times,
Nature's little garbage disposals:
They thrive in Southern climes.
Do not look down
On these residents of our planet.
They were here before us humans
And they may survive us on it!
This Poems Story
This poem was written as a loving tribute to a young injured opossum who lived with me for three years. He was a true and loving creature.
