The Beast\'s Heart
I loved it when you spoke
And i remember when I woke
I was filled with hope
There was never pain
But it was all in vain
Now my heart you’ve slain
Like it was some beast
And my heartbeat ceased
While you had a feast
And I can’t even eat
Memories on repeat
Of all my defeat
But I was no monster
I wish we’d had longer
My mind starts to wander
Replaying every single memory
While wounds I try to remedy
And I’m listening to a sad melody
Now I’m bereft of feeling
My minds left reeling
And the pain i’m concealing
And i remember when I woke
I was filled with hope
There was never pain
But it was all in vain
Now my heart you’ve slain
Like it was some beast
And my heartbeat ceased
While you had a feast
And I can’t even eat
Memories on repeat
Of all my defeat
But I was no monster
I wish we’d had longer
My mind starts to wander
Replaying every single memory
While wounds I try to remedy
And I’m listening to a sad melody
Now I’m bereft of feeling
My minds left reeling
And the pain i’m concealing
