The Beautiful Me

A beauty was denied because of the color of her skin,
rather than her wanting to fit in.
Her beauty was hated by the whiteness of the wall,
because she stood out brave and tall.
This beauty couldn't be covered by mere clothing,

but rather her brilliance shone through and lit up the room.
could real beauty exist something "they" call wrong,
in someone who simply wants to belong?

Or is it that, because she's black,
their hate for her is so strong.
Her strength in spirit, exudes her beauty and makes them go very crazy.

For how could she, this black beauty, of all people...

outshine them, when they are the superior race.

To them being black is to being nothing, while being mixed,
means you are an abomination.
But our beauty not only condemned their rules and values,
she proves everyday that her beauty is a miracle...
a gift from god!
