The Dark Hours of Winter Solstice
in the midst of an early rogue twilightcrystal snow flakes drop from the city sky
lost wishes from long ago shooting stars
from an incessant dusk to dawn encounter
the eerie woods echoes sleep deprived howlings
nocturnal beasts confused by nature’s clock
the black-hearted axis of winter solstice
northern night's long-lasting and pungent kiss
Key Words : winter
