THE FLOODS ARE HERE AGAIN

Floating on nature's rage
nature's rage that is without mercy.
Dealing us with blows we can't wedge,
Blows we can't wedge leaving scars all would see.
We had been taking this for a fable,
Until now we are seeing it with our eyes.
The floor has lost its balance for our table,
Seeing Our properties fly high to the skies.
The roads have been covered
All streets are now for pedestrian who can swim,
If you can't, you pay to be carried over
With your chance of not getting soaked still slim.
The radio has ceased its jingles and adverts,
The television screen pouring out pitiable scenes.
The number of people getting homeless becoming vast,
On the screen are photographs who since this have not been seen.
It comes mightly almost always at night,
Pulling out doors that have grown weak to fight.
Lifting properties as much as it increases in height
Being brutal to both young and old, knowing we can't fight.
We kept waiting for the government to get us evacuated,
But that was more like a dream that will never come into being.
This is turning our suburbs and cities desolate,
everyone is leaving with some not having an exact place they are going.
the floods are here again,
Bodies and Properties are perishing out of its rage.
The floods are here again,
Its effect this time is so grave.
