The Forbidden Art of Reminiscence

Unpacking intrusive thoughts as I...
Lick close the brown envelope
With a red heart, containing the letter
I ought to send but never did
So I have it pinned on my wall
Only to recite the content prior sleep

There's a lot I could've said
And me walking away
Never made it any better
Instead I've grown guilt
With the ticking time
I still sun bathe on lagoons
Sinking in your black waters

A possessing potion I could sip on again
I mean, you balanced my life like an equation
So I spread out the sheets
Sharpen my memory pencils
Only to search for reasons
To flip the eraser and erase
The words I found fit
To explain my disappearance

Only truth justifies true justice
So I resharpen the same pencil
Start drawing all I wish to have
And you tick all the boxes,
Sadly scarcity is a reality
And we can't have all the things we want
But you define everything I need.
