The Grand People

They are much older, and oh so wise
Full of God's knowledge, they speak no lies

Their love surpasses all understanding
They know how to give to the children, oh so demanding

With each breath they take, their bond grows stronger
The time we have with them, we wish was longer

Silver may become the color of their hair
To cross them, one would never dare

Time may change their loving face
But with each wrincle they grow in God's grace

Their countenance the stars can't outshine,
Their words are always meaningful and so kind

The children listen to them, and stand in awe
As they utter their names, Grand-ma and Grand-pa
