The Last Of Us

We are constantly fighting each other
For no good reason instead of working together

Hidden in plain sight a higher power is humanity - ultimate enemy
But we are all blinded to see the truth that could set us free

Many stories and memories we shared, during our long journey
Many fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers we’ve lost at sea

Oh the lost song of freedom - the last of us
Reminded us of where we came from
Before the first boat of lost souls arrived in Jamestown
We were kings and queens wearing the golden crown

We came on their slave ships, filthy, scared and hungry
No name, no land, no freedom, no history
Everything was taken from we
Our new names became negro and monkey

Psychologically breaking us - separating and dividing us
Blended with no one to trust- - a life crumbling like rust

Oh lonely night - oh lonely sea
Everything was taken from me - in the face of stolen legacy
