The Light Shines No More

The light shines no more on your face,
Only the colors we dream, and create.
In the quiet of night, your laughter still rings,
A melody of love, in the silence it sings.

The dawn brings a whisper of days long gone,
Where shadows of you in the morning are drawn.
Each moment we shared, a treasure to keep,
In the heart’s deepest chamber, where memories sleep.

Though the light has faded, your essence remains,
In the hues of our dreams, in the soft summer rains.
We paint with our hearts, the colors of you,
In every sunset’s glow, in the sky’s endless blue.

The light shines no more on your face,
But in dreams and in love, you leave a trace.
A scribble of hope, in the darkest of nights,
Guiding us forward, with your eternal light.

This Poems Story

Made early on in my grieving process, probably early September 2024. She was artsy, and loved abstract colors. So I like to draw as well. So I drew a picture that came out being very colorful and it basically inspired this poem.
