The Messenger
A wize old owl sat upon a branch
Pondering the message he must deliver
He spread his wings and caught the breeze
Then he soared across the river
In the village a boy sat in deep meditation
Tears from his eyes they did flow
Recently orphaned with no chance of goodbye
How could he feel more alone
He prayed to the great spirit to send him a sign
He then waited for a message to come
He looked to the sky with the rains having passed
The thunder replaced by the beat of the drums
Out from a rainbow the owl it appeared
A crow feather in its beak
It landed in front of the crying young boy
Dropping the feather in front of his feet
The spirits are with you
You are never alone
Sometimes we just need to pray
Mother Nature has messengers
Just watch to the skies
Her birds can take your sadness away
