The Pen and the Page
Ha ha ha ha ha
Are you joking? what's funny?
The lonely page asked the pen angrily
Nothing at all, replied the pen softly
I was hoping you I can be partners
Partners replied the page? in what?
I don't trust you at all
Oh dear page, without you I am nothing
Without you my ink will die in vain
And you will be the one feeling my pain
For without our unity
There will be no story to be told
and no poetry to lighten our soul
The page furiously replied you're too lazy
The pen exploded in an endless laugh
Me lazy! you must be crazy my dear friend
The page growled at the pen, leave me alone
I stand on my own
The pen sadly replied,
then I will carve my story in stone
For I am a builder,
and the builder's mind is forged in solitude
The page sank in a velvet silence
Lost in a delightful feeling of mollitude
Are you joking? what's funny?
The lonely page asked the pen angrily
Nothing at all, replied the pen softly
I was hoping you I can be partners
Partners replied the page? in what?
I don't trust you at all
Oh dear page, without you I am nothing
Without you my ink will die in vain
And you will be the one feeling my pain
For without our unity
There will be no story to be told
and no poetry to lighten our soul
The page furiously replied you're too lazy
The pen exploded in an endless laugh
Me lazy! you must be crazy my dear friend
The page growled at the pen, leave me alone
I stand on my own
The pen sadly replied,
then I will carve my story in stone
For I am a builder,
and the builder's mind is forged in solitude
The page sank in a velvet silence
Lost in a delightful feeling of mollitude
