The Perfect Lamb
O' Perfect Lamb,
That bore the sins of sinful man!
Wretched soul that I am,
Turned to righteousness
By grace's blood-stained hand-
My burdens, no more,
My chains, gone,
And my soul, free,
By the wrath-bearer
Broken for me-
O' triumphant joy and astounding peace!
I thank Christ, whom You'll forever see-
Bound together with others saved,
A family, not of this world,
Given in grace-
Thank you, thank you,
Praises, we sing,
When we remember Christ
On the tree-
Suffering for the sake of many,
Died He, who came to save,
And with glorious power,
Arose on the third day-
Lifted to the right hand of God,
O' Lion of Judah
And Perfect Lamb,
There is no other
Who is I AM.
That bore the sins of sinful man!
Wretched soul that I am,
Turned to righteousness
By grace's blood-stained hand-
My burdens, no more,
My chains, gone,
And my soul, free,
By the wrath-bearer
Broken for me-
O' triumphant joy and astounding peace!
I thank Christ, whom You'll forever see-
Bound together with others saved,
A family, not of this world,
Given in grace-
Thank you, thank you,
Praises, we sing,
When we remember Christ
On the tree-
Suffering for the sake of many,
Died He, who came to save,
And with glorious power,
Arose on the third day-
Lifted to the right hand of God,
O' Lion of Judah
And Perfect Lamb,
There is no other
Who is I AM.
