The rest of our lives

When I was young and choices made where dumb
In so much pain convinced I was insane
betrayed by all even she sat back and watched me fall
tried to get back up off my knees too only see what she has done to me
when I looked around there was no one left to be found
Then I realized with all the pain the worst is she left me with an empty picture frame
Just like that, all hope was lost all she cared about was what things cost
She has no problem taking it all and not letting my most precious one give me even a call
fought in court many times just to be told she ain't mine hurt and lost time goes by with out me trying to take back what I knew mine. All this time lost I knew would come with a great cost, so I tried so many times to contact you because I just knew you missed me to. I made mistakes along the way but nothing like your mom says, look at the secrets she hides away sam and believe me when I say a day never passed that I didnt think of you or as us as two. with time and truth 5 minutes more can become so much more. Its never to late to start over as we get older and never forget you are my daughter.
