The Spell
On a sweltering summer night
How I hope your arms will wrap around me and keep
Me safe from the world around
The stars are diamonds that reflect back to you in my eyes
You are draining my soul and stealing my essence as you
Search the depths of my soul
My thoughts are the streams of clouds that float on the
Endless black sky
Can you read my soul do you really know what is deep
Inside me wanting to be free
The breeze kisses my skin like a long lost lover finally returning
To my arms
Will you be there to fill my naked empty embrace and hear my
Longing whispers
A fine line of smoke wraps, lashing my body in the delicate
Fragrance of jasmine
Jasmine, the climbing vine of your love that strangles me
As I am unable to escape
My thoughts are lost deep in the soul of your heart but you
Are not aware of this.
I wish to cast a spell of love that opens your heart to your mind
So you understand the depths of my affection and my love
It grows against my will like the poisonous hemlock in the
Shadows of the full moon
If you can not see it in my soul, feel it in my touch or hear in
On my breath
Tell me how and what I must do to make beknownst to you
To worship the moon and let it shine my love down on you
Over the miles
To bath in sun so its heat will radiate through me and penetrate you
To soak in the river and then let the water of my desire flood over you
Do you realize the moon is now worshipping you?
Do you feel the heat of the sun when I walk by you?
Will you drink from my river that flows deep, wild and turbulent for you?
Or will you let me stand alone in the darkness, cold without the
Heat of you love or drown in the black cauldron that I have cast my spell in.
