The Token
Today I’m left feeling low
I feel so down and resigned
Because pieces of my heart I sow
But comfort of friends I remind
Yet I’m at home all alone
Here I lay Stuck in bed
I can’t do it I put back the phone
And lay back down stuck in my head
I need to get up but I’m stuck
I just can’t see the point anymore
Life’s just out of all of it’s luck
I make it all the way to the door
I keep going, keep moving my feet
I can’t do this, this is too bizarre
But I make it all the way to the street
Yet I can’t step in front of that car
So I head back to my room
Where there’s nothing to do
Lately it feels like my tomb
So I’ll just wait to see you
Because you help me when I’m broken
So I gave you my heart as a token
I feel so down and resigned
Because pieces of my heart I sow
But comfort of friends I remind
Yet I’m at home all alone
Here I lay Stuck in bed
I can’t do it I put back the phone
And lay back down stuck in my head
I need to get up but I’m stuck
I just can’t see the point anymore
Life’s just out of all of it’s luck
I make it all the way to the door
I keep going, keep moving my feet
I can’t do this, this is too bizarre
But I make it all the way to the street
Yet I can’t step in front of that car
So I head back to my room
Where there’s nothing to do
Lately it feels like my tomb
So I’ll just wait to see you
Because you help me when I’m broken
So I gave you my heart as a token
