The Wounds
From the moment the sun rays touched my skin
They say I was the son of sin
Born to lose - born not to win
I forgot where my history begin
In dreams, stories came to me from the wind
But I was too wounded to find
The power we hold in our mind
Pain after pain, Tears after tears
Ink after ink, pages after pages
Poems after poems, still my voice was unheard
Not a single word - or a melody from the morning bird
And now the wounds are too deep to heal
Yet in the face of adversity the truth reveal
The hate we conceal
They say I was the son of sin
Born to lose - born not to win
I forgot where my history begin
In dreams, stories came to me from the wind
But I was too wounded to find
The power we hold in our mind
Pain after pain, Tears after tears
Ink after ink, pages after pages
Poems after poems, still my voice was unheard
Not a single word - or a melody from the morning bird
And now the wounds are too deep to heal
Yet in the face of adversity the truth reveal
The hate we conceal
