They Just Grazed Me...

Built for running and quite cunning
Shooting the breeze we find quite keen!
This takes space to maintain our pace
As we gallop along, and dance to our silent song!
We wandered among Natures' grace
'Til one day came along
Those who'd harness God's given law
We are no longer at peace
Governed by mans' lease...
The price we pay...
We are broken to be "tamed"
That is really to be trained...
We are dressed for mans' wars
We are dressed for mans' sport
We are dressed for mans' labor
Although we hesitate to express lest some be distressed
When our health becomes worn we are further scorned...
For some become for mans' use food and glue
While others stand in containment
Without chance for arraignment
For those that would hear, let us be clear!
We hope to return to Natures' wide pastures!
To once more dance and sing
Before our King with rapture!
