Thoughts

I close my eyes and I start to think
deep in my thoughts I start to sink
everything around me starts to shrink
I can't shake this reality, I blink & blink
But everything to me looks the same
This whole situation is driving me insane
I want to follow my heart and not my brain
It started with a spark and now is flame
And every argument is like propane
Adding fuel to the fire and burning every seed and grain
But there's no point on looking who to blame
When everything we did, was done in vane
Instead of working together and wait for the rain
So we can grow something, out of our seeds and grains, that we planted
So that we, can one day say
this is what I've ever wanted
But no
because what's simple
it's complicated
and what you Need and Want
are contraindicated
Because life hasn't been fair
and you are letting it impair
Everything we’ve created
I wish that one day, I can say I made it
With all the struggles with all the pain that you have created
In me
I because I am, who I am
and not, who you want me to be
I wish that one day you can see
that to my heart there's only one lock and you have the key
I just want to be free

This Poems Story

This poem was written during a really harsh break-up. Every step forward felt like 10 steps back. I worked so hard to make it work and grow but in the end it was all a waste.
