Tigresses

As tigresses, we hunted all the time
Cold nights, wet grass, we leave behind
Eyes glancing through the dark
Sheer will of want, keeps hunger far
We never forget our beginnings
Or the dreadful times of past
When strain has strung
When tears fall near
Give me a glance
I will hold your stare
No times will ever reach
Those cold wet nights
When hunger creeped
