Tired
So tired
But I can’t fall asleep
Damned by fate to live this life
Of never seeing those sleepy nights

Too hot
Too cold
Whatever the reason
Whatever the season
Whenever I try to sleep
My mind keeps on stopping me

The only time I want this
darkness
to seduce me
The only time I want this
darkness
to control me

The
light
keeps
breaking
in

Leave me alone, light
Let me succumb to this
darkness
