Titanic

Remember them as they lie in the deep
The night we all knew our ship would sink
The night we felt a terrible shutter
The night I stuck close to my father and mother

The night was unforgiving and cold
Into a lifeboat not half full
Terrible cries on an upturned ship
I watched them fall and I watched them slip

My mother is here but my father is there
Watch them shoot up a bright red flare

I closed my eyes as the ship began to break
In two giant pieces
how, I wish this was fake

Lights were dimmed and then went out
Here the thousands cry and shout
Beneath the waves went Titanic
Leaving us all in a terrible panic

Into the cold water went people whose fate
Was drawing near as they froze to wait
Now in the dark with tears in my eyes
Safe in a lifeboat while others die
Waiting for the sun to rise
