to lose someone
losing someone you always thought you'd have
it can slowly tear you to pieces
a pouring of tears that could fill a flask
you've lost that warm comforting feeling
and when you wake up, there's that split second
that you think everything is normal
before in your life, they were a constant
its too hard to believe or say goodbye to it all
you don't want to believe that its all real
want to pretend that they're still here
you don't want to know the hardships to feel
you don't want to face all your gnawing fears
I have always thought of you so fond
I don't understand how now you are gone
it can slowly tear you to pieces
a pouring of tears that could fill a flask
you've lost that warm comforting feeling
and when you wake up, there's that split second
that you think everything is normal
before in your life, they were a constant
its too hard to believe or say goodbye to it all
you don't want to believe that its all real
want to pretend that they're still here
you don't want to know the hardships to feel
you don't want to face all your gnawing fears
I have always thought of you so fond
I don't understand how now you are gone
