Toxic Desire
I touched you once—
On the bank of the Murti river,
My will to live turned blue
Like water, deep in your silver body.
A few moss-covered pebbles watching me;
Through civilization's sick eyes,
Toxic desires are born every day.
Where do they go...
Perhaps, they just keep accumulating, layer upon layer—
I write wet poems on the water,
They float away, one by one.
You do not read them;
In the shadow of dark clouds
It is all blurred.
Look in the deep—
I actually live within you.
Water, the pulse within you—
That is me.
These congealed poems are
Nothing but the heartbeat of my soul.
On the bank of the Murti river,
My will to live turned blue
Like water, deep in your silver body.
A few moss-covered pebbles watching me;
Through civilization's sick eyes,
Toxic desires are born every day.
Where do they go...
Perhaps, they just keep accumulating, layer upon layer—
I write wet poems on the water,
They float away, one by one.
You do not read them;
In the shadow of dark clouds
It is all blurred.
Look in the deep—
I actually live within you.
Water, the pulse within you—
That is me.
These congealed poems are
Nothing but the heartbeat of my soul.
