Unbearable Loss

How far can you fly when your wings have been clipped
Distance is the silent killer of trustworthy hearts
Deep in thoughts hopes of tomorrow fade with every passing second
A life so close yet so far drifts from within my grasp
My heart stolen now broken shattered on the floor
Persistence no longer a quality but a lack of instead
This heart once full of love now mourns the loss of its existence

What was once love has gone, changed to something else, friends maybe, maybe nothing at all.
