Untold words of a child

"This is the true light
Which fills your soul
And brightens your path",
You force on me your beliefs.

I'm not a branch of you
But a separate plant,
Though i have your roots
I wish more sunlight.

I'm a helpless bird
Imprisoned in your cage
And forbidden the freedom
To fly in the enormous sky

Release me from your custody
To see the world through my eyes
I'll find the true light
Which can brighten my path.
