Wandering Soul
Where does our soul go
In our sleep?
Does it stay inside,
In our body, its keep?
Or does it exist
Within a space apart?
A home our body, needn't guard;
Only to gain sense
When we wake;
Bits of memories
Our minds to remake,
From a separate universe,
We fail to create.
Then, considerate it all a crazy dream;
Too simple an answer, that would be.
No, this it does seem:
Our soul is somewhere else
In our sleep.
In our sleep?
Does it stay inside,
In our body, its keep?
Or does it exist
Within a space apart?
A home our body, needn't guard;
Only to gain sense
When we wake;
Bits of memories
Our minds to remake,
From a separate universe,
We fail to create.
Then, considerate it all a crazy dream;
Too simple an answer, that would be.
No, this it does seem:
Our soul is somewhere else
In our sleep.
