What are those scars from?
I had a fight with my dignity.
My dignity lost. I bear the scars I paid the cost.
a war against him ?
no a war within
play at your own risk
love is a battlefield it starts under the skin. no one wins until everything spins. love yourself or be filled with sin.
Regret doesn't fit with a life to be lived. never forget what's broken can't be fixed.
Fill the cracks instead, remold resemble art paint it with your soul. a life on the verge of becoming bold. discovering you're worth more broken than any ounce of gold.
Wear the scars as medals, it proves you've fought your battles, win or lose.

This Poems Story
This poem came to me at a time when I was deeply hurt by a mere phrase that someone had said to me, not knowing I had been abused. I was able to channel that hurt into a poem instead of despair in my emotional stress.
