When You Hold My Hand
When you hold my hand
A smile appears on my face
Warmth and happiness fill my heart
Love fills my soul
When you hold my hand
These trials of life seem unimportant
The busyness of the day disappears
There’s no more loneliness
When you hold my hand
My life is full
My life is complete
I want for nothing else
When you hold my hand
My view of the world changes
The sky is bluer
The grass is greener
The sun is brighter
The air is warmer
When you hold my hand
My world is complete
Because you have my heart
And you’re all I need.
A smile appears on my face
Warmth and happiness fill my heart
Love fills my soul
When you hold my hand
These trials of life seem unimportant
The busyness of the day disappears
There’s no more loneliness
When you hold my hand
My life is full
My life is complete
I want for nothing else
When you hold my hand
My view of the world changes
The sky is bluer
The grass is greener
The sun is brighter
The air is warmer
When you hold my hand
My world is complete
Because you have my heart
And you’re all I need.
This Poems Story
This poem is about my grandchildren and how much it means to me when they hold my hand. They are my everything.
