WindowPain

WindowPain

We don't want much --a kiss a touch
a little window in the pain
to keep you and me sane

just give us a little time
to kiss and rhyme

quiet all the noise you make
that the world makes him forsake
leaves him tired, leaves us sad
when loves calls us to be glad

Leave him please some time to see
some of the world, some of me
Don't be greedy needless pain
Come another day, like rain

Give my love back to his dreams
and our silly little schemes
Let him laugh and let him be
let him let him let him be.

If you need a place that's new
I invite you, and implore you
come and sit a while with me
and please at last, let him be.
