Wolves
There is no more graceful being then theyThat they holler and run with joyful glee
To reach full moon on clear bright night in may
The moon bows down to give its thanks, then flee
And so they run fast like lightning tonight
To reach the earth with paws that yearn to run
And drink from pools that reflect the moonlight
They celebrate all night until there’s sun
And they hunt as a pack for food that day
Then with their cubs in tow they nap in den
Parents wake up from yelping cubs that play
Then dig under a fence to catch a hen
And now it’s time for them to lay in bed
And fall asleep to life’s dreams in there head
This Poems Story
I adore wolves and believe that people often misunderstand these creatures. The reason for this poem is to make people more knowledgeable about the beauty of wolves instead of just knowing their fierceness, aggressiveness and how "scary" a lot of people perceive them to be.
