Worthless

An apple stuffed into a circle,
A pine tree stuffed into a cone,
Perspective stuffed into a focal
And fateful point of no return,

A nation reduced to an accent,
A concept reduced to a word,
A song that is ever complacent
With sounds of a primitive chord,

A lifetime squared into statistics,
A future without what is next,
A language explained by linguistics,
A story in black-and-white text,

A choice with no chance of decision,
A landscape in only one glimpse,
Your field outside of my vision,
Your fingers away from my lips.
