You and Me
I was walking on that road alone
Side by side with you but alone
Singing a song in melancholy tone
Reflecting the scenes of how you had gone
Slipping your hand and leaving me alone
Two shadows on that road were shown
That painting on my wall but torn
Grief, pain, tears, shouldn't i mourn?
How much swifter the time had flown
Now your words sting me deeply like a thorn
Side by side with you but alone
Singing a song in melancholy tone
Reflecting the scenes of how you had gone
Slipping your hand and leaving me alone
Two shadows on that road were shown
That painting on my wall but torn
Grief, pain, tears, shouldn't i mourn?
How much swifter the time had flown
Now your words sting me deeply like a thorn
