A Fly on the Windowsill
I found a fly on the windowsill, dead
I didn't even know there was a fly in my room
I wonder how many other things
Go unnoticed until it's too late to save them
I wonder how many other things
Die banging on the invisible barrier
That keeps them from soaring
I wonder how many other things
Are still looking out the window
With enough hope to be afraid
I wonder how many other flies
Might be in my room
I didn't even know there was a fly in my room
I wonder how many other things
Go unnoticed until it's too late to save them
I wonder how many other things
Die banging on the invisible barrier
That keeps them from soaring
I wonder how many other things
Are still looking out the window
With enough hope to be afraid
I wonder how many other flies
Might be in my room
