Broken up
Broken and battered there my heart lies,
My corpse is in tatters swarming with flies,
This feeling of despair and untimely fault,
I can’t pick myself up how can I act like an adult,
There’s nothing left but a big gaping hole in my chest,
You pulled the trigger and life took care of the rest,
This unfortunate reality is the consequence of my moralities,
When I start to look back there were too many abnormalities,
Life takes a turn as it always does,
Mocking me along the way just cause,
The shame and humiliation a price for the game,
We both knew what we were doing now it’ll never be the same.
I guess I’m just feeling broken up about the situation,
I never expected to have any complication,
While I’m left to wander the forest alone,
I’ll keep waiting for you to return home.
