Girl in the mirror
And that day I looked at her in awe,
Her tears glistening over her cheeks,
Her y-shaped veins popping on her forehead,
She was sad, inconsolable, and in complete morose.
She couldn't see what was in front of her face.
She would always let them steal her joy and energy.
She knew she was good, kind, considerate, and loving,
Yet she never received that in return, and it always hurt her deeply.
At times, she would think her personality was lacking.
The sons of the dark always fed off her innocent heart.
Then they would slam her against the door, leaving her shattered,
Leaving her to pick up the pieces, dripping with blood and tears.

Tragic as a reflective insight can be, much can be learned from such internalized pain. Good job!
Awesome! I agree fully with Inez Martinez Sevall
