He was half real, half a dream.
He was half a dream , half real , I could see and touch him in my sleep,
His brown eyes shone brightly in the dark,
The feel of his woolen hair awakened goosebumps across my skin,
His skin felt warm like a candlelight.
His breath felt cool like an autumn breeze,
His voice was angelic, soft as a whisper,
His kisses were addictive like nicotine ,
His passionate stare was haunting yet enchanting,
His fingers were heavily entwined with mine.
He read my palms and swore we were meant to be,
He promised me a fairy tale , paradise , an eternity,
an infinite world free from sin, despair , a land where glory and honor rule,
a land forever lined up with autumn leaves ,
Where every touch turns everything to gold.
As the night grew grey hairs , and monsters roamed the streets,
His hands melted and his touch dissipated mechanically,
His back grew wings and the ever joyous face grew creases,
His toe nails morphed into hooves , his smooth body grew spikes ,
his brown eyes grew dark , his woolen hair became feathery.
My angelic prince became an apparition,
An angel in a monstrous figure ,
All the promises became nightmares.

Oh great! Thanks Cess, you tempted my lead, then tempered my dread! Talk about bait and switch! I thought riding 40 foot waves at "sea," was the biggest rollercoaster ride, this Uncle Salty, saw on a seahorse. Woe Nelly!
