In another life

In another life,
I'm smoking a cigarette on an empty street,
With an inked feather in my hand scribbling a sonnet
Verses dance on the paper with each line dripping with passion
and yearning.

In another life,
I'm a custodian to a king and a secret lover to the prince,
Sweeping dust in ballrooms while stealing kisses in the dark,
Bound by duty yet lost in immense longing and ardor,
The fear of dongeons does not deter us,our forbidden romance flourishes
in the dark.

In another life,
I'm Jo March,a little woman,
Spilling ink like wildfire on empty pages,
Too bold for silence, too free for cages,
Chasing dreams with wind tossed hair,
And a heart encrypted with ambitions and
Visions .

In another life,
I'm woken by the chirping birds,
Bon Jovi and Elvis Presley serenade my day ,with
their beautiful voices,
Neon lights guide my path at night as my poofy afro
swirls through the wind,
I'm happy again ,with life at it's simplest.
