In my Blissful World

In my blissful world, hills adorned with
Golden grass cast animated shadows across
the ground. Ancient ruins rock my soul
With wonder, and a breeze that smells of
Fresh hay blows through the land.

In my blissful world I can forget my pain,
My sorrows cannot stalk me here.
The vivid sunsets cast an orange and yellow
Glow across the meadows, And I know I am
Out of harms way.

In my blissful world, blue-green rivers branch
Through forest groves, and wash away my fear.
I am alone and content. Brutish men can't find me
now. I am glad and at peace. As I watch the horizon
stretch across eternity, I know that I will live forever.

While I'm awake I fear my life, but when my eyes are
About to shut at night, I know my blissful world
Awaits me.

And I smile.

This Poems Story

This was inspired by a dream I had, much like my blissful world in the poem. It was a beautiful thing.
