Is it so wrong...

It is so wrong to want to talk,
Is it so wrong to go for a walk,
Why must I keep my distance when my feelings are clear,
I just want to keep you near and dear,

Is my job not to try and woo you,
Just because you loved me once now I must wait in a queue,
My broken heart is still so fresh,
These stinging thorns tearing through my flesh,

Is it so wrong to want to hold you in my arms,
Or would that be setting off too many alarms,
I don’t see anything wrong in getting together,
If nothing else to make this burden on my heart as light as a feather.
