I would wait a thousand years for you,
But we’ve hardly spoken.
I’d give you everything I’ve had and would ever have,
But I don’t even know your favorite color.
I’d assume it’s green or blue,
You always seem to wear those anyway.
Mine’s been blue lately…
God, the blue in your eyes.
I guess I shouldn’t fall this hard,
But who am I to judge?
I should be more focused,
But I’ve been so happy lately.
Maybe you’ll never know this is how I feel,
Maybe I'll give you a note on the last day of school and run off,
But I can’t help feeling there’s something there.
Under all those layers you wear,
Under all your protective armor around your heart,
There’s something there.
I want to know what it is,
And I want to experience it.
Call me crazy,
But when we’re near each other,
You smile.
Everyone sees.
When we talk,
You laugh.
Everyone hears.
So maybe we should just drop the act,
Maybe we should just give it a try.
