My Star
I met a star one day
Was she popular?
Was she the light in every room?
Was she everything everyone wants?
No,
But she fell into my darkened life and brought light.
“All I’ll do is make your problems worse,”
She cried,
“Don’t you hear me?”
I did,
But it was ridiculous.
It was ridiculous because with her,
I couldn’t see anything wrong with the world.
With her,
All was right again.
I would rather solve world hunger,
Create global peace,
Fix every complex problem in the world,
Than know a sky without her,
Shining bright before my eyes,
Even for a moment.
Was she popular?
Was she the light in every room?
Was she everything everyone wants?
No,
But she fell into my darkened life and brought light.
“All I’ll do is make your problems worse,”
She cried,
“Don’t you hear me?”
I did,
But it was ridiculous.
It was ridiculous because with her,
I couldn’t see anything wrong with the world.
With her,
All was right again.
I would rather solve world hunger,
Create global peace,
Fix every complex problem in the world,
Than know a sky without her,
Shining bright before my eyes,
Even for a moment.

I love my best friend guys she\'s the best
Hi! I really enjoyed your poetry. I think poems with beautiful visuals or illustrations are doing really well online these days and often reach a much wider audience. Even with a small investment, adding artwork to your poems can make them more engaging and shareable. I'm a commission-based artist, and I've been creating custom artwork for about 3 years. I'd love to help bring your poems to life with visuals if you're ever interested. You can reach me anytime via em@il: contact.lilaclines@gm@il.com Ig: _lilac_lines_ I'd be happy to chat!
