Life Is A Board Game
Ignorance is bliss, it ensures the perpetuation of the species
Data says intelligent people are depressed
How can I bother you when in times of need?
I feel like such a burden sometimes
I’ve depended on others before only to be betrayed
Trust doesn’t come easy anymore
Not after you have loved so deeply only for it to go to waste
You tell me that you care
You show it to me, too
But my diseased mind is in denial
How could anyone love me when I don’t even love myself
It’s an everyday battle in my head
Sometimes, I wish I could crack open my skull
And play doctor for a day
Fiddle and tear the black tissue that is rotting inside
Or maybe that’s my heart…
Like that board game- Operation
Be careful not to get too close
I want so deeply to connect with you, but the fear
The fear puts me in a trance
Of confusion, of uncertainty, of despair
When will this end? Will I ever be happy again?
If the world ended tomorrow, I wouldn’t cry
Data says intelligent people are depressed
How can I bother you when in times of need?
I feel like such a burden sometimes
I’ve depended on others before only to be betrayed
Trust doesn’t come easy anymore
Not after you have loved so deeply only for it to go to waste
You tell me that you care
You show it to me, too
But my diseased mind is in denial
How could anyone love me when I don’t even love myself
It’s an everyday battle in my head
Sometimes, I wish I could crack open my skull
And play doctor for a day
Fiddle and tear the black tissue that is rotting inside
Or maybe that’s my heart…
Like that board game- Operation
Be careful not to get too close
I want so deeply to connect with you, but the fear
The fear puts me in a trance
Of confusion, of uncertainty, of despair
When will this end? Will I ever be happy again?
If the world ended tomorrow, I wouldn’t cry
