Ocean Deep

Why don't you love me daddy?
Why don't you care?
I called out to you,
But you were never there.
I gave you many tries, many times.
Time and time again,
You gave me silence filled with lies.
I tried to show you my worth,
But your indifference
Brought me down to earth.
How could you do this to me father?
I was supposed to be your princess,
But you chose someone else.
How could you choose another,
When you couldn't even love yourself?
I understand now,
I am a monster, like you.
I pushed everyone away,
When time came due.
I became what I hated most,
I became you.
Cold and heartless,
But still filled with rage.
Ah, but that is how we are different,
I can actually stage.
I can lie and deceive,
And pretend that I am glee.
Deep down though,
Is nothing but a sea.
So empty and blue, so deep is the hue.
