Reflection\'s of a strangers stare
In puddles deep, a stranger stares,
Reflections twisted, lost in layers.
A glassy gaze from shopfronts gleams,
Echoing doubts and fading dreams
In the mirror's glass, a stranger stares,
Beneath the surface where stillness dares.
A puddle's depth reflects my plight—
A wandering soul obscured by night
A stranger stares back, eyes hollow and bare,
In puddles of silence, in the cold night air.
Across glassy windows where shadows convene,
Everywhere I look, what once was is unseen
Every glance reveals another guise,
Shadows whisper as truth belies.
A liar cloaked in soft deceit,
With hands that steal and hearts to beat.
With every face I meet anew,
The truth is masked; the lies accrue.
Stealing moments, manipulating time,
Procrastination’s bitter rhyme.
Eyes that betray me with tales made untrue,
A liar within who dances askew.
Stealing my joy like whispers in rain—
Manipulating dreams into echoes of pain
Procrastination’s grip tightens its hold,
Lacking desire as bright futures grow old.
Fading away like the last light at dusk,
Isolation wraps me; it’s all that I trust.
Motivation fades like dusk till dawn,
Desire whispers but feels withdrawn.
Isolated thoughts begin to creep—
Feelings tangled in waters deep.
Isolation sits within my chest,
Contemplating all that’s left unconfessed;
Feelings churn beneath the skin—
Emotions clash where silence begins.
Contemplating heartache that runs deep and wide,
Thoughts consuming solace; there’s nowhere to hide.
Tears flow unbidden—each drop tells a tale—
Yearning for numbness where shadows prevail.
Emotions surge like tides at play,
Thoughts consume me night and day;
Tears escape this silent plea—
Longing for numbness to set me free.
Thoughts consume me, spinning fast—
Tears escape from burdens cast;
I seek a balm for aching pain—
A way to numb this heart's disdain
Pain cascades and heartache pounds,—
Breaking down on hallowed grounds.
Searching through shadows for words to speak—
Yearning for solace when hope feels weak.
This ache that breaks gently but weighs down like stone,
Shattering fragments of all I've outgrown.
Searching for words ‘neath the weight and despair—
A voice lost in silence longs desperately to share
Each breath I take feels fractured now,—
Searching for words but lost somehow;
To voice this weight that's pressing down —
Hoping to rise from what I've drowned.
Yet amid this turmoil lies a flicker divine:
The strength born from struggles can softly refine.
Perhaps one day soon this stranger will fade;
Revealing my heart beyond masquerade
Reflections twisted, lost in layers.
A glassy gaze from shopfronts gleams,
Echoing doubts and fading dreams
In the mirror's glass, a stranger stares,
Beneath the surface where stillness dares.
