Stagnation

I slip from sight, unseen even by those nearest to me; adrift in a tangled haze, and unable to settle into who I am.
No matter how I shift or twist, I remain trapped as myself; weariness seeps through, unmoved by the effort.
Fatigue anchors me, a quiet drain on what persists; I stand firm, gazing toward life’s close with steady anticipation.
