The Graverobbers
Dig me up
But I’m not six feet under,
Above ground soil cup
Pour on my simpleminded blunder.
Feels like they already got the shovels
Pitchforks behind their masked judgement,
Every word I speak manifests trouble
And I can’t rise above it.
Stealing my grave
Robbing me of a point of view,
A coffin space I crave
Escape the wrath of this skeleton crew.
Shake the bones of a anxious man
Pile the dirt and bury who I am.
Hide and seek and run from it
Shut my mouth and let my thoughts kick the bucket.
But I’m not six feet under,
Above ground soil cup
Pour on my simpleminded blunder.
Feels like they already got the shovels
Pitchforks behind their masked judgement,
Every word I speak manifests trouble
And I can’t rise above it.
Stealing my grave
Robbing me of a point of view,
A coffin space I crave
Escape the wrath of this skeleton crew.
Shake the bones of a anxious man
Pile the dirt and bury who I am.
Hide and seek and run from it
Shut my mouth and let my thoughts kick the bucket.
