Winter Rose

You pry open my legs
Force my body around
You grasp my frail wrists
Pin my body to ground.

Blood arises
Spills like wine
You whisper to me
“Shh, baby it’s fine”

Like a rose in the winter
My spirit is dead
I'm fragile and broken
A slave to your bed.

Your body in mine
A teardrop slips
Your hand grips my hair
My body rips.

I want to move
My body froze
You withered and tore
This winter rose.
