You Said

By Linda

You said that you would love me forever
And how there would never be another
Said that you were happy that we’re together
What changed?
You said I was the girl you had dreams about
Said that nothing would tear us apart
Promised to give me the world
Knew it was all lies
Yeah, you talked a good game
Filled my head with broken promises
Almost made a fool out of me
You said one day we would get married
Have a few kids, live in a beautiful crib
Oh silly me
I peeped how you changed saw a different side of you
I didn’t want to believe it was true
My friends and family tried to warn me about you
But I didn’t care all I wanted was to be happy
All that changed when you started playing games
Coming home late, lying about who you was with
I was young and far from being dumb
You said you wanted a future with me
A nice house and a big family
Man you had big dreams
A smooth talker with a nice smile but on the inside was the devil in disguise
Played the part of a nice guy, but you were truly evil like the night sky
