Climate Change

The rivers choke, the mountains weep,
as forests burn in silent sleep.
The air, once light, now holds its breath,
a prophecy of coming death.

The oceans rise with swollen scars,
their voices drowned in gasping stars.
The sky now wears a poisoned crown,
its kingdom tilts, yet won’t bow down.

But in the ash, a whisper grows,
a seed still fights, though no one knows.
For nature bends, but never breaks,
a phoenix born from past mistakes.

This Poems Story

Background: This poem personifies the planet’s suffering, depicting nature as a once-powerful entity now suffocating under the weight of human recklessness. The imagery of burning forests, choking rivers, and poisoned skies serves as both a lament and a warning. Yet, within the devastation, a flicker of resilience remains symbolized by a seed fighting to survive. The poem presents climate change as a slow but unstoppable force, urging readers to recognize both their role in the destruction and their power to change the future.
